Hi, I'm Mike. I'm a Nashville-based product designer with more than 15 years of experience.
I've worked as a B2C and B2B product designer at these world-class companies:
Over the past ten years, I've led design in enterprise healthcare. Most of my work focused on zero-to-one initiatives in highly complex and ambiguous spaces such as telehealth, conversational AI, and end-to-end clinical trials design in genomics and cancer.
Additionally, I have worked on product and brand design in fintech, hospitality, and media—and even ventured into a novel AR/VR medical device startup.

Here's a little more about my story
Right after college, I moved to Nashville to work in the music business (just like everyone else).
One of just 12 people in their Music Row office, my label was a scrappy bunch—green as grass, but excited about the opportunity to "make a dent in the universe", as Steve Jobs was fond of saying.
It was like working at Disney when Walt was there. Every day I got to watch award-winning recording artists, designers, photographers, stylists and illustrators create the world's best art.
The fundamentals of design I learned when designing physical products— color theory, layout, negative space, typography and user interaction—inform my digital product design approach today.
When I went out on my own, I designed hundreds of physical products, as well as award-winning brand campaigns for companies in hospitality, eCommerce, social media and publishing. I even helped a gourmet cupcake company capitalize on their appearance on ABC's Undercover Boss.
My move to tech took me into the heart of healthcare, where I've led product design for some of the largest and most ambitious spaces in the industry. My principles and process have remained the same: An emphasis on craft, cross-functional communication, and a clear focus on the user.
